I had the honour of photographing the Third Annual Bell Kaleidoscope of Hope Charity Gala in October 2013 at the Hampton Inn in Ottawa. Initially conceived by the passion of the owner of Avant Gard Designs, the money fundraised helps children with mental health issues.
In Canada alone, over 4000 children die from suicide every year! The money raised helps CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario), YSB (Youth Services Bureau), and D.I.F.D (Is it Just Me? Conversations about Mental Health) develop programs and services that assist teens get the help and support they need.
This year’s gala featured Mrs. Laureen Harper, City Counciller Allan Hubley, and two inspirational speakers, Tad and Rob Nash. Below are some photos from the event.
